A quick glance at Bitkom

Bitkom is the voice of the IT, telecommunications and new media industry. Bitkom represents more than 2,100 companies, of which over 1,300 are direct members. This includes almost all of the global players as well as 900 powerful medium-sized companies and numerous founder-run, creative enterprises. The Bitkom members earn 140 billion Euro in sales and export high-tech amounting to 50 billion Euro. Thus Bitkom represents approximately 90 percent of the German ITC market. Bitkom is a large, high-performance network and combines the best brains and companies in the digital world. Bitkom organizes a permanent exchange between professionals and executives and provides its members the platforms for cooperation among themselves and for establishing contact with key customers. Netlution as an active member of Bitkom. 

For many years Netlution has been an active member of Bitkom and actively participates in several working groups. Thanks to the close contact and the extensive network of leading companies in the IT industry it is possible to shape the current market developments and technical trends.  Netlution acts as the voice of its customers, thanks to its long-standing experience in the IT market. This helps to actively shape the discussions about Netlution and the influence of customers.


An example: Guideline on Server virtualization.

For instance, Netlution has actively co-designed the Guideline on Server virtualization in cooperation with the working group Server and Operation and has taken the lead in developing the chapter “Security in virtual environments.” This guideline in PDF format is available free of charge for download at http://www.bitkom.org/de/publikationen/38337_40545.aspx


Another example: Guideline on Desktop virtualization.

Bitkom currently publishes the Guideline for Desktop Virtualization. This working group deals with “server-based computing and thin clients”, for which Netlution has taken over the task of project coordination in addition to the decisive content design.
